I loved my cat, pure and simple, and when she died I met a darkness unknown to me. At the same time, in my mind she began communicating with me. I felt her words of love in my heart and they rescued me.
I wrote her story to help me. My hope is that her words of love help you or someone you know who has lost a love and met that same darkness.
I am an artist. I paint acrylics on canvas. I work with several different styles including my current passion which is abstract expressionism. My gold and silver leaf paintings of crosses have been shown during the candlelit Taizé prayer services at my local Carmel Mission Basilica. (Michael took these photos.)
My husband and I rescued kittens and cats. Over the years we saved more than thirty cats. BrambleBerry Rose was one of a kind.
A little bit about my background beyond my love for my kitties and my experiences rescuing them; I founded, managed and edited the stories for my website, 1Sun4All.com. We focused on solutions to our current climate issues with clean energy from 2012 to 2015.
I was a writer with Cleantechnica during the 3 years I managed my clean energy website 1Sun4All.com.You can find many of my stories at: Cleantechnica. Some are my stories about Solar Impulse.I was also published three times in Scientific America, once when Solar Impulse was flying over the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco and twice for my clean energy infographics.
During that time 1Sun4All sent almost 100 solar lamps to Africa through Solar Aid as well as hundreds of dollars to Polar Bears International.
Solar Aid and 1Sun4All
I was recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy for my work.
I walked and talked with Richard King in 2013; founder of the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon. An annual event in which collegiate teams from around the U.S. and invited foreign countries build houses using clean energy. There are also foreign competitions.(Michael took this photo.)
I got to meet the team who was working with Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg who were flying Solar Impulse around the world. Michael, my husband and business partner, and I were at the landing in Mountain View, California of the Solar Impulse.
